Frequently Asked Questions:
What is a Wedding Content Creator?
A wedding content creator is a dedicated person who captures moments from your wedding day. Think of them as ‘Behind the scenes’. Once they capture some moments, they will post to social media and tag you. This way by the time the wedding day is over, you will have something you can immediately watch and share. It’s a wonderful way for any friends or family not attending to be able to live in the moment with you.
Why should I hire a Wedding Content Creator?
Everyone is capturing content these days, be it phone photos of taking your dog for a walk on the beach, a birthday party, family event or even when your brother falls face first in the mud - all moments where having a phone handy for a quick photo is ideal! So why shouldn’t your wedding day be any different? Your guests will naturally want to take phone photos throughout the day and likely send them to you. You will be so excited to post something and too often your first post is your uncles half blurry photo as you walked down the aisle with your cousin pulling a funny face in the background.
A Wedding Content Creator will capture all the moments during the day and have something to you before the day is over to post as your first post as husband and wife.
In most scenarios, your photographer will likely have a photo sneak peek to you within the first week too!
Does having a Wedding Content Creator mean I can’t make my own announcement?
Absolutely not! Prior to the day, we will discuss with you how frequently you would like us to post something. Some couples would like us to wait until the next day before we post. This way, you can enjoy the day and then relive it the next day. Other couples like us to post as they day is happening. (We don’t make any posts until after your ceremony)
What is the difference between having my guests post photos and videos from their phones?
Short answer is, they are there to party, mingle, eat, & drink. We work alongside your photographer and videographer (If you have one) to find all the best angles. We work hard to make creative reels that capture the true feeling from your special day. We also use high quality cameras that are made for content creation. (Not phones from 3 years ago that need an upgrade)
Why would I need a Content Creator, Photographer and Videographer?
They all have very different roles, let us simplify:
Photographer: Takes still images, documents the day and can create beautiful prints and albums
Videographer: Documents and captures video and audio. A highlight video is a short film as a recap for your day where we use moments from your ceremony and your reception speeches to recreate your day to share with those who were unable to attend. These videos are filmed in 4K, edited and colour graded. Videography will capture your full ceremony recording and full speeches recording as a special keepsake. These videos are timeless.
Content Creator: Real time, quick posting. We capture moment using cameras and tools dedicated to the purpose of doing a quick edit. These videos are put to music and use video transitions that are currently trending. Content Creators will capture lots of moments during the day but nothing in ‘full’ and generally no audio recording unless specified (Eg. your full ceremony recording - This is why you still need a videographer)
It’s super important that your photographer, videographer and content creator work together so they all capture the moments and compliment each other. It definitely helps if they have worked together previously so they know where to stand to not get in each others shots.
When should I book my Wedding Content Creator?
As soon you can. We take bookings anywhere from a few days to 18 months in advance. It all comes down to availability. The sooner you can book, the more of a chance of us being available!
