Welcome to Everlast Studios,
where every love story
is an adventure! (Including our own…)
We are Peter and Lauren Toth, the dynamic duo behind Everlast Studios. But let's rewind a bit... and get ready for lots of selfies :)
First things first - A shout out to our incredible team who work alongside us. While we (Peter and Lauren) would love to capture every wedding, we just can’t, so we have onboarded only the best photographers and videographers to work alongside us. Rest assured, all editing is done in house by yours truely!
Check out some of their photos below.
Who are we anyway?
We met way back at school in year 8 & 9 and hit it off instantly. Best friends from the get-go, we shared everything, spent all our time together, and never once thought of each other as "boyfriend/girlfriend" material. Then, after seven years of the most amazing friendship, we had an epiphany: we didn't want to do life with anyone else.
So, we took the plunge and started dating. And let's just say, our friends and family were just waiting for it to happen! Four months in, we were engaged, and that same year, we tied the knot. Our wedding day was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. Sure, the DJ played the wrong songs, and our venue 'accidentally' tossed the last of our cake, but hey, what's a wedding without a few stories to tell?
Surrounded by our nearest and dearest, we embarked on this amazing journey together. While we weren't professional photographers at the time, we always had a passion for capturing moments. Our photographer used film back then, and while we love our black and white shots, we do wish we had a few more in color. Our video, although a little dated now, is one of our most cherished possessions, especially since it features some beloved faces that are no longer with us.
So why did we become wedding photographers/videographers?
Back in 2012, during a memorable journey traveling around Australia in a 4WD and caravan, we discovered our love for photography and videography.
It was a time of self-discovery and realisation that we wanted to work for ourselves. We were half way along the Nullarbor and we had a lightbulb moment. "Imagine if we could take photos for a living!" From that moment on, we were motivated and driven. The decision to pursue photography and videography was made in the middle of the Nullarbor, and we've never looked back.
We finished our 2 year lap of the country capturing photos and writing articles or 4wd Action (Now known as 4wd 24/7). We headed home and kept pursuing our love of photography and video.
Peter's first experience with wedding photography was tagging along with a videographer friend. Encouraged by the positive feedback and the enjoyment he found in capturing weddings, he continued to pursue it. (Thank you Brendan Samuels)
Similarly, Lauren's journey began by assisting a photographer friend. We honed our skills by shadowing some of the best photographers and videographers in the industry, and to this day, we hold them in high regard.
Within the first 18 months of launching Everlast Studios, we booked over 80 weddings, setting the stage for our journey to capture countless love stories.
What is your best Marriage Advice?
We firmly believe in marriage. While weddings are a joyous celebration, we understand that it's the marriage that truly matters.
Being in love isn’t just a feeling; it's a choice you make every single day.
Communication is key, along with unwavering support for each other. And trust us, having role models in your lives (For us that’s Lauren's parents, who've been married almost 50 years) really helps. These are the people who can offer valuable insights, who genuinely care about your relationship, and who want your marriage to thrive as much as you do.
What are some common questions you get asked?
How do you work and live together 24/7?
We love to be around each other more then anything. When we say we are best friends, we actually mean it! We never get sick of each other. We talk about everything. We just love to be in each other’s company.
When it comes to work, we have our strengths. Lauren does some things better so she will focus on them. Peter does other things better so he will focus on them. We believe that when we working to our strengths, that is when we produce the best work.
Will you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! We love to travel, and we'll go anywhere to capture your special day. From San Francisco to New Zealand, Fiji to stunning locations across Australia like Fraser Island, The Whitsundays, and even the outback in Mt Isa, we've been there! As a married couple offering both photography and videography, you get the complete package when you choose us to travel for your wedding. We often take an extra day or two to explore the beautiful places we visit because, for us, it's not just about the job; it's about the adventure!
Do you personally capture every wedding you book?
Throughout our journey, we've built wonderful relationships with numerous wedding photographers and videographers. We have a dedicated team who often work alongside us. From the moment you book with us, we're transparent about who will be capturing your special day. While Peter or Lauren may not always be available, we have other talented team members who can step in to ensure your day is beautifully captured. All editing of your photos and your videos are done by Peter & Lauren personally to ensure you receive the highest quality edits.
What to you do in your spare time?
We love to travel and will go exploring every opportunity we get. We love 4wdriving and camping and will take any opportunity we can to go away for a few days. We also work with a few 4wd personalities capturing content.
During the 2020 covid lockdowns, Peter actually built an offroad caravan and we love to get away in it.
We love a good cafe, a sunset walk and we are currently doing a few renovations at our house - we always have side projects happening and love keeping busy.
