Q: How far in advance do you take bookings, and when should I book?
A. Most couples will book between 12-18months prior to their wedding date. In saying that, as soon as you have chosen your date, contact us to check our availability.
Q: Do you travel for weddings?
A. Yes! We love to travel! We have traveled around Australia twice and have photographed many weddings in some amazing destinations such as Fiji, Sydney, Melbourne, New Zealand, Fraser Island and even America and Europe. Because we love travel so much, we keep our travel costs at minimum for you.
Q: Do you provide a second photographer? What is the advantage of this?
A. Yes we do. Having a second photographer means a few things. Firstly, more coverage and more angles. Having two photographers means we can be in two places at once. Often one of us can be with the bride and one with the groom. At your location shoot, it allows us to get more creative with photos. There are lots of advantages!
Q. Can we have 2 videographers?
A. Yes, we always try and encourage you to have 2 videographers.
Having 2 videographers is ideal as it allows us to capture more moments of you and your guests throughout the day.
Videographers also have a lot of extra equipment to carry and set up so having two means set up and pack up can be done quicker allowing them to get back to filming you and your guests, it also allows an extra angle at all times.
Q: Do you offer social media content creation?
A. Yes, we sure do! Just ask us about this. The advantage of having your photographer, videographer and content creator working on the same team is that we know each other and work well to get the best angles while not getting in each others way.
Q: How does the payment work for a wedding photography and videography package? Do you require a deposit?
A. We require a 20% booking fee to secure your date. We have payment plans, so contact us today and we will work out the best payment option that works for you. We also accept credit cards!
Q. Can you provide a discount to book both Photography and Videography together?
A. Yes, we can. Contact us today and we will let you know what we can do for you.
Q: When can I expect to see my wedding images?
A. For photography - We have a 3 week turnaround guarantee for your online gallery. This means that you will have all your photos edited and in your inbox ready for sharing and printing within 3 weeks of your wedding day.
Q. When can I expect to see my wedding video?
A. We aim to have your cinematic highlight wedding video online for your first preview within 3-5 weeks. We aim to have your other videos given to you within 6-8 weeks. We try and stay in communication with you during our editing process so you know where we are up to.
Q. How many images do you take at a wedding?
A. On average, we try and provide you with approximately 50-60 edited photos per hour of shooting. (Of course this increases with a 2nd photographer)
Q. How do the family photos work?
A. The best time for family photos are straight after your ceremony. We go through your ‘must have’ photos before the wedding and get a list from you so that on the day, we don’t miss anyone. (Eg. Mum, Dad, Siblings, Grandparents)
It’s great if you can dedicate someone to assist with family photos who know who people are and can help gather people together.
Our recommendation is to keep your family photo list to about 10 combinations. This is to make sure you get the extra important photos but also means your smiles don’t get warn out before we do a couple photoshoot with you and the bridal party.
If you want photos with everyone, we advise to get more at the reception where we can go around to each table, or set up a spot on the dancefloor where everyone can come to you in different groups eg. school friends, work friends, cousins, neighbours etc…
Q. Do you video the day from start to finish?
A. We offer a style of video called cinematography which is a more creative way of capturing your day.
In the olden days, a video camera would be put on a tripod in the room capturing everything that was happening. The way we film your wedding day is a series of short clips from all aspects of the day. We put these together to create a cinematic style highlights video.
Of course, we do use continuous recording for your ceremony and your speeches to ensure we don't miss a moment.
Q. Do you offer engagement photoshoots?
A. Yes, we love engagement shoots because it means we get to know each other.
Along with an engagement photography shoot, we also offer engagement video shoots where we put together a short video. We can tell your story of how you met, how the proposal happened or even a save the date video.
Q. We have specific photos in mind that we would really like photographed. Can we provide you with a list?
A. Absolutely, we want to ensure we capture the photos that you want on your wedding day, so if you have some particular photos in mind, let us know. We tend to think quickly on our feet. On the day, we work with the light and the location we have to create our magic.
Q. Do you have public liability insurance?
A. We sure do! We have 20million Public Liability Insurance.
If you or your venue require a copy of this, please just ask us.
Q. Do you back up your photographs and video footage?
A. Absolutely, on the day we have at least 2 cameras for photography and 2 for video. All camera’s capture your photos/footage on 2 separate memory cards at the same time. At the end of the day, your photographs and footage is backed up straight away in 2 separate locations.
Q. What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
A. Rainy day photos make for some beautiful photos. And i’m not just saying that. Check out the photos below and decide for yourself.
However, if it looks like it might rain, make sure you have umbrellas ready to go for your bridal party. We do try and keep umbrella's in our car for the bride and groom.
We will also call you 1-2 days before the wedding to discuss a wet weather back up plan for your photoshoot. We do all we can to keep you dry.
If you have any other questions, just let us know, we are happy to answer them!
